State of the Lily

Yes, these babies are a weekly occurence. Why Mondays? Cause I said so.

Physical: Body's still kind of achy, rebellious and going 'does not want' at food, but I swear it's getting better. In slow increments. I can't tell how much of the achy tired feeling is from the illness, and how much from the introvert shock.

Organizational: I've got unanswered e-mails over a week old. I fail. They will be gotten to, but I still fail.

Blogathon: In much better news, I got sponsored. For $100! Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] nursemae! I'm...a little sleechless right now.

Again, if any of you on my friendslist are willing and able to sponsor a Blogathon participant, I urge you to do so. There are some wonderful causes out there, and some wonderful writers as well.

Currently reading: Paladin of Souls, by Lois McMaster Bujold, and XxxHolic vol.4.

Currently watching: Nothing, but for once NOT FOR LACK OF LAPTOP. Squee! I'll also be going to see the new Harry Potter movie with [livejournal.com profile] mirrored_echo (and possibly others.) Sooo...how much is it going to make me want to choke a bitch?

That's actually a rhetorical question. It's something I'd rather find out on my own. All I know in advance is that Tonks' actress is significantly hot.

KoL: I'm being a slow bum, but I have begun the Level 11 quest. With all the adventures I've got piled up, it shouldn't be any trouble to blow through a fair chunk of it, once I've got the time and energy.

BPAL: No reviews at the moment, but I'll be making a lab order real soon. Definitely a bottle of Glasgow, and I think a set of imps as well. These imps, in particular:

Persephone
Katharina
Baobhan Sith
Aizen-Myoo
Rosalind
Vinland

Thoughts?

I saw HP last Thursday, and Tonks' actress *is* significantly hot. Also I wanted to put Luna in my pocket. Neville too, so she'll have some company. Also one of either Crabbe or Goyle got kind of attractive and surprised me a little. And Gary Oldman looked less weird to me, though I have no idea why.

...Kari's review of the attractiveness of OotP, right there.

Mwahaha! So I'll have eyecandy, even if all else fails.

You could probably start a meme with this thing. ^_^ ::is getting tempted::

And drop me a line at some point so we can make Movie Plans -- I forget the theater you mentioned seeing it at, and will probably need directions or some other way to get there.

It's certainly become a personal meme for me. *tempts*

Will do! The theater I had in mind is the Loews in Fresh Pond (Cambridge). The easiest way to get there would be to start at my house. There's a bus, or we can walk if we don't feel like waiting. However, that would mean needing to get to my house first, for you.

Woo, KoL. I can use my new icon!

Hee!

Hey, how could I NOT donate for PP??!

I went to a Catholic University, and I wasn't a Catholic...that meant the student clinic would do NOTHING with contraception. Not any decent counseling, certainly not any kind of prescribing, and some of the folks working there wouldn't even give you a resource you COULD go to for those concerns! Grr...anyway, PP helped me out immensely during those years as a poor college student, as well as all the friends I directed their way. It's been a few years since I had them on my 'Donate To List'...it was a good reminder to add them back on this year. :)

I just read my first LMB book not too long ago - I liked it! I'm looking forward to reading more of her stuff once I find it.

Yikes! I'm really glad I go to my school, which has an excellent resources (and supplies) department, but yeah. Planned Parenthood was a great help to me during high school, and I'm not likely to forget it. I'm actually hoping to get an internship with them this winter.

Ooh? Which one did you read?

[identity profile] nursemae.livejournal.com 2007-07-18 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I can't REALLY complain because it was a private Catholic school. I do think it was shitty, but it's one of those 'par for the course' things in that environment, I guess.

I was so excited at one point when I was looking up job opportunities in TX. I thought PP had an RN position open! Unfortunately when I researched it, it was an NP slot instead. Booo. :(

I read Falling Free. It was fun! I swear I've read one other, but I can't seem to find it.

I just got Falling Free out of the library today. How's that for a coincidence.
