2 min. 29 sec.: So the not sleeping thing really was just an expression, then. Either that, or Jack's perfectly able to sleep, physically, but the nightmares make it an unwelcome experience. I'd go with that theory, myself.

Also, shirtless Jack! Fiiiinally! (Even if my first instinct toward him here is to comfort, rather than ogle. It still counts.)

3 min. 33 sec.: The brief interaction between Jack and Ianto is perfect here. Still awkward, but desperately trying to make amends. Jack's hand on Ianto's shoulder really said volumes.

8 min. 21 sec.: Whoa. Did she say 'his father'? Ok, so either that woman's from the 51st century herself, Jack's been lying to her, or continuity's about to go to hell in a complimentary fruit basket.

10 min. 46 sec.: Kitty! And he looks like my kitty! *loves*

*shifty eyes* Nothing bad better happen to that cat, y'hear?

11 min. 15 sec.: Aha! The dad thing is Jack's cover for why he hasn't aged any.

13 min. 48 sec.: Jack sounds more and more like the Doctor every day.

31 min. 57 sec.: I really feel for Gwen. She's been brave and competent all episode, and her fear here is very, very warranted. *hugs her*

37 min. 21 sec.: This is the first episode of Torchwood to frighten me. Now, I know why. It's the 'anywhere, anytime, with or without anyone else there' aspect. There's no escape. It's the same thing that did me in when I watched "The Grudge".

45 min. 49 sec.: As far as I'm concerned, Jack did the absolute right thing. The kid's happy; the world's not anhilliated. Not everyone wins, but the best decision that could be made under the circumstances.

Previews: The next episode looks scary! I approve.

He did, but that doesn't mean that anybody has to be HAPPY about it.

I think he made the right decision, too. Had she been unwilling, it would have been a different story. John Barrowman did a wonderful job of showing the conflict within Jack. It makes me wonder if Jack has ever been in a position where he made the other choice in a similar kind of situation, with disastrous consequences.
