I finally realize what nagged at me, in the last cliffhanger, where Sarah first sees the robot. Its entrance sounds a lot like the Tardis materializing. Confused the hell out of me for two seconds there. Was I the only one who made that connection? (Read: Am I losing my hearing?)

The director lady turned out evil, just as I suspected. I see the sigh from last entry and raise you an 'oi'. Oh well.

I love how bored the Brig sounds at the possibility that this all might be 'another invasion from outer space'. I guess aliens become old hat quite fast, if they invade more than once per season, and you've got one working for you.

I'm seeing shades of 'Dalek' in this episode. The base here may not be underground, but it's just as covert and corrupt. We've got a mechanical form questioning its directive, and the companion reaching out and sympathizing with it. Rose and Sarah have that much in common. No wonder they wind up getting along so well.

Getting very fond of Sarah here. I love how she's not afraid to say what's on her mind or be the odd one out. She feels for the robot, tells off the SRS guy, and rightly calls the Doctor on being a dumbass. Love!

Suspect my love of female companions is directly proportional to their ability to call the Doctor an idiot when it's warranted.

Also suspect that, much like Van Statten, Winters and her croney will find their own project biting them in the ass. Ok, so that's not exactly a state of the art prediction.

Kettlewell (scientist dude) still overacts, but he's managed to totally get my sympathy despite it. I love the scene of him geeking out with the Doctor. I also like the Doctor taking an interest in human environmental matters. Didn't Seven refer to himself as a big ol' hippie, at one point? Either way, it makes me happy.

You know what else makes me happy? The Doctor sleeping on top of a desk. His? Brig's? Who knows. He certainly doesn't care. Four's really a big be-scarfed cat, isn't he?

The ideas of the elite society whassisface sound properly creepy and Nazi-like. Sadly, I think the current administration might approve. Guess conservative nuts don't really change much throughout the ages.

Lesson learned about self? I'm decent at remembering character names, but seem to have a block on organizations. Hey, I remembered UNIT. What more can you ask of me.

Er. Speaking of names. Who was that guy Sarah was talking to when she found the note? Benton? Yates? Random extra?
